Monday 19 January 2019: Arrival in Port-au-Prince - Jazz: Antonio Serrano, Sonny Troupé Quartet, Terence Blanchard feat. The E-Collective
Upon your arrival at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, you will be welcomed and transferred to the charming Villa Thérèse hotel.
Located in Pétion-Ville, Villa Thérèse offers an outdoor swimming pool, a lush garden and free Wi-Fi access throughout the building. The air-conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV. Their private bathroom has a spacious shower. Each room has a private balcony.

→ 6:00 pm - Antonio Serrano (Spain): Antonio Serrano, a Spanish jazz and classical music harmonicaist, started learning the harmonica at the age of 7 and quickly developed a unique playing technique that allows him to easily pass from classical to flamenco, from jazz to pop.
→ 7:00 pm - Sonny Troupé Quartet "Add 2" (Guadeloupe): Based on the gwo ka (percussion, song and dance of Guadeloupe) traditional and modern, Sonny Troupé, Guadeloupe percussionist and percussionist, develops the concept of "Dense Reflections".
→ 8:00 pm - Terence Blanchard feat. The E-Collective (USA): Honored with 5 Grammy Awards. "Music and art have the power to change hearts and souls," says composer and trumpet player Terence Blanchard, a feeling he executes in music with his E-Collective.

→ 6:00 pm - Barbra Lica Quintet (Canada): Singer and author, Barbra Lica is a rising star of the Canadian jazz scene. She was nominated for the JUNO Awards in 2017 in the vocal jazz album of the year category for her title "I'm still learning".
With Afro-Latin rhythms, Sebastian Schunke will lead you on his own musical path.
→ 7:00 pm - Yogev Shetrit Trio (Israel): Israeli drummer, performer and composer Yogev "yogi" Shetrit created his group in 2015 to perform his own compositions. In 2016, he recorded his first studio album as a conductor and composer.
→ 8:00 pm - Cécile McLorin Salvant (Haiti/France/USA): Cécile McLorin Salvant, one of the most famous jazz singers in the world inside our walls ! Born from a Haitian father and a Guadeloupe mother, Cécile McLorin Salvant began playing piano at the age of five and classical singing at the age of eight in Miami.
Tuesday, January 21, 2019 - Port-au-Prince - Excursion to MUPANAH, Oloffson, Bourdon Art Market - Half Board - Jazz: Alex Mercado, Phyllisia Ross
Start your urban exploration with a visit to the Haitian National Pantheon Museum, it will give you an excellent base to understand the richness of the country's history and culture.
In the late morning, you will visit a legendary place in Port-au-Prince, the Oloffson Hotel, proud heritage since 1896 with its colonial architecture with the charms of the past in «wood lace». Formerly a private residence, it was built for Tiresias Simon-Sam's family, former president of the Republic of Haiti. At noon, you will restore in this beautiful place.
In the afternoon, you will go through the Bourdon Art Market, a real institution to get a canvas that expresses Haitian art. At the end of the day, returning to your hotel.

Thursday 23 January 2019 - Port-au-Prince - Exursion: Petion Ville, Kenscoff, Fort Jacques, Boutillier, Furcy - Half-board - Jazz: Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr, Emile Parisien Quartet, Paul Beaubrun
Your exploration will continue with the visit of Pétion-Ville, a lively, colorful and charming city.
Then go to the green hills, direction Kenscoff, also called the vegetable garden of the capital, because it is in its heights that fresh fruits and vegetables are cultivated all year to supply markets of the city. From its height of 1455 meters, the view of the mountains and valleys is soothing.
Not far, you will visit Fort Jacques and its church, a major historic site for the country. In the day following the proclamation of independence, Alexandre Pétion had a fortification built about ten kilometers from Port-au-Prince, which he named Fort Jacques in honor of Dessalines. It is one of the strongest to have resisted to severe weather. From Fort Jacques, you can see the bay of Port-au-Prince. Every year, May 18 (anniversary of the Haitian flag's creation), a pilgrimage, a funfair and music concerts are organized in this place.
Mandatory stop at the Observatoire Boutilliers. Point of view perched at 900 m, it offers a breathtaking panorama over the bay of Port-au-Prince. The big plus, its terrace, perfect for a drink and enjoy Creole specialties, all surrounded by a grandiose landscape.
Then, going to Furcy for a horseback ride ! Small village located after Kenscoff, 48 km southeast of Port-au-Prince. Living in simplicity, people of the area will welcome you warmly. Furcy is the perfect place for ecotourism, strolling and enjoying fresh air even in summer. Bring a sweater or shawl because it's a little cold sometimes. The view of the mountainous formations is impressive, the largest reserve of pines in Haiti is found there.
Before leaving the heights of Port-au-Prince, a well-deserved meal will be served at the Montcel Ranch Inn, Kenscoff Ecological Complex.

→ 7:00 pm - Emile Parisien Quartet (France): Several times awarded at the Victoires du Jazz, Emile Parisien, high-level jazz. Émile Parisien is a soprano and alto saxophonist, and a jazz composer who has been dedicated to music since he was 11 years old.
→ 8:00 pm - Paul Beaubrun (Haiti / USA): From Rasin-blues to PAPJAZZ. The Haitian singer-arranger and multi-instrumentalist Paul Beaubrun started his musical career with the creation of the group Zing Eksperyans in 2012 which proposed a reggae-rasin style and with which he released 2 albums "project Haiti" and "Vilnerab".
